TRIP REPORT OF PASTOR DONNA SMILEY-YOUNG FROM 10-30 SEPTEMBER 2009

Mission Fields Visit has become an Annual event to us.  When the Lord led us to commence outreach to souls in the interlands, a word given to us was: "A soul is a soul whether in the city, town or village. Go after them!" To the glory of God we have seen conversion of souls in remote locations that never would have been possible but for the fact that Fields of Glory responded.  You see, on this side of our world, ministry concentration is in cities and urban centre’s whereas only very few make any plans (let alone budget) to go into the interior. These are areas where God has helped us to faithfully make impact in Fields of Glory these three years.

At the moment, we have a mission Church in a village called Otuyelu having an adult membership of close to 80, and no less than 30 children. It would thrill your heart to hear that in more than 100 years of history, ours is the first Pentecostal church to survive six months in a community ladened with high-level witchcraft and sorcery. Our coming in has gradually began to open up the region to other living churches. To God be the glory! June, this year, we established another church, not in a village but a settlement not too far from our Mission Church (in Likosi) with the aim of reaching out to and attracting the elite class. To the glory of God, the number has gradually risen to an adult membership of about 40. So many other communities and settlements in the region are calling but we are constrained because of limited resources. We trust God that in the coming year we shall do a lot more as help comes!

Now to the second part of my trip beginning on 21 September to Port Harcourt and to my dear friend and co-laborer Bishop Michael Amamieye.  Our first stop was in Bayelsa to do meetings for Pastor Godspower Asingba for three nights.  During our time in Bayelsa were privileged to meet with Commander and Chairman Willie Bunting of the Pilgram Welfare Board who interact with Israel.  Prior to my trip I had been asking the Lord to show me where the trigger would be pulled on the outpouring of the fivefold ministry from Africa which the Lord showed me in 2002.  It was now 7 years later and I did not know where Africa was on the radar screen now but Pastor James was awakened from his sleep after I left Lagos to go into prayer about this issue and he was now in the 3rd day of prayers, each at midnight.  Now as I was sitting before Commander Willie Bunting who had just met me for the first time, he began to speak back to me the vision God gave me and what is written in my book, AFRICA – THE WOMB OF GOD!  I just began to weep and told him that it was as if he had written my book!  He also began to talk about the trigger being pulled on this vision and showed how the location I was sitting in Bayelsa, if you put the continent of Africa on its side it looks like a gun and the tip of the trigger is where Bayelsa is located.  I remembered what I asked James to pray about and it was so totally answered down to the details. 

Bishop Amamieye described the meetings in Bayelsa with these words:  “The air was charged as I brought up Pastor Donna who brought a powerful message that set the first night of the meetings rolling. The next day was a full day as we paid courtesy visit on the Deputy Governor of the State.  We had a nice meeting with as we prayed for him and the state. The meeting this night was something else as Pastor Donna spoke with great unction that really touched every life. I was so moved to tears with what she shared. It was a blessing.  Many were saved, healed, delivered and blessed.”

On the 25th of September we arrived in Ozoro and were hosted by Bishop Adaigho and began our meetings that night.  There were testimonies of healings, financial breakthroughs and so many other things occurred in the meetings.  There was an outburst of worship and praise where the people began to lift their chairs over their heads dancing as hard as they could in celebration.  An elderly lady who had stomach cancer was prayed for and before the meeting was over, was dancing and rejoicing! 

On September 26th it was my birthday and the people gave me a birthday cake and some gifts which were sacrificial as they are from the village.  We had our final meeting on the 27th and then began our journey to Warri, the home of Bishop Mike and my spiritual son Peres who is Bishop Mike’s younger brother. 

We arrived the same day in Warri and had a meeting with Pastor Kingsley Biebison Ohwota who had begun a new work and it was awesomely started in an upper room!  It was truly a prophetic meeting for the beginning of this new work and God was speaking to those gathered together there.  There were direct words from the Lord which provided direction to the Pastor and some members.  They confirmed what God had put inside of their hearts.
